 The Choice

There is no dark within us unless we make it

There is nothing that’s broken unless we break it

There’s nothing to tempt us except for desire

There’s nothing to burn us except our own fire

 

There’s not an excuse devoid of a choice

There’s not a word spoken beyond our own voice

There’s never an action we take past our knowing

There’s never a path we take without going

 

There’s nothing to hope for if hope is neglected

There’s nothing to live for if life is rejected

There’s no room for love if your heart has been shuttered

There’s no room for God if your prayers are not uttered

 

The things that we do and the things we say

The way that we work and the way that we play

We choose our own life for the good or the ill

To live for yourself or to live for Gods will

 

The choice is for you and no other can make it

So make a good choice while you’re able to take it.
