 Tears Aren’t Forever

Tears of sorrow, tears of pain,

Tears of worry, tears of strain,

Tears of regret, tears of rejection

Tears of the lonely, tears of reflection,

Tears of mourning, tears of the past,

Tears of forgetting, tears that won’t last,

Tears that won’t stop, tears that won’t start,

Tears of the spirit, tears of the heart,

Tears of rejoicing, tears of relief,

Tears of conviction, tears of belief,

Tears of affection, tears of adoring,

Tears that are grateful, tears of outpouring,

Tears of reunion, tears of goodbyes,

Tears held within us, tears in our eyes,

Tears at the ready, tears get us through,

But tears aren’t forever, when Christ lives in you.
